Many of you have been e-mailing me about doing more punk band reviews, so here you go. Hostage Calm are one of those bands that upon first listen remind you of the "good ole days" of skateboarding. Hostage Calm brings a combination of classic punk riffage mixed with off -tune harmonies that instantly cause you to have a flashback to the days of the bands from the old Bones Brigade videos that featured such skate legends as Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, Lance Mountain etc. This style of punk is a welcomed change of pace from all the emo infusion that has plagued punk the past few years.
