Hypernova

It is an expression heard in Hollywood everyday – it's a dream come true; but for these four gentlemen from Teheran in the Islamic Republic of Iran they are more than just words. Playing rock music and sharing it with their fans is indeed a dream come true for the members of Hypernova. Under the current leadership in Iran playing rock music is a taboo that can be considered a punishable crime. But only wanting to be the young people they are the members of Hypernova are willing to take the risks to share their music and to entertain their fellow citizens. Lead vocalist Raam says that the shows are not for the band but for the fans who come to see them perform. Exposed to many kinds of music the guys were discouraged from playing rock and taking risks in playing rock music in the beginning; but the parents of these musical ambassadors from Teheran support their choices.
